The Hunter's Hope Foundation was established in September 1997 by former Buffalo Bills Quarterback Jim Kelly and his wife Jill after their infant son was diagnosed with Krabbe disease (Globoid-Cell Leukodystrophy). Signs and symptoms of Infantile Krabbe usually appear at three to six months of age. Children who suffer from this disease lose all mental and motor function, become deaf and blind, and usually do not survive beyond two.
Today, there is no cure for Krabbe Leukodystrophy.
But tomorrow, with your help, there is Hunter’s Hope.
